PHYSICAL EXERCISE, BEING IN ONE’S BODY, MAINTAINING A LENGTHY PERCEPTION OF TIME: ILLUSION OF POWER CREATED BY PUTTING ONE INTO A SELF-UNAWARE -AND-STUMULATION-INDUCED STATE OF QUICK, POWERFUL BUT SHORT TERM AND HEALTH AND BRAIN CHEMISTRY DAMAGING ACTIONS BASED ON SHOTS OF ADRENALINE
Have you ever tried to physically exercise? Not exercise and chat to your girlfriends. OR exercise and listen to your walkman. Exercise and listen to your body. Exercise not in short sporadic fits taking numerous breaks and water breaks, but exercise for an extended period of time? If you did, you know what happens. The body stretches its limits. Through sustained pressure on it, the body does a few things. First of all, the body continuously pushes itself forward, it defies its own limits of pain and tolerance and sets new ones, it learns where it can push if needed and where it can’t, it monitores itself in accordance with its goals and desires (goals and desires set by you) and learns where it would need to do more exercise and of what sorts to strengthen what part. All these things come out ONLY under the duress of prolonged EXERCISE, not STRESS, Prolonged stress just charges up body’s resources making it over produce a deadly to the tissue and nervous system drug ADRENALINE. That drug works by a principle of emergency management from corporate company with a big name: it comes, runs the staff around, blows everything in its past but creates the result of: bottom line. The bottom line under adrenaline is simple: complete some task. It could be surviving a day’s job (because if you will loose your job you will loose your income, and if you loose your income you will loose a means to existence), climbing over the fence when a bunch of angry dogs or patriarchs who want to tear you apart pursue you, lifting the car to save the beloved woman or man, etc. So, the body does not learn its capacities during adrenaline fit, it only performs. It is not conscious to learn. It is in the state of unconscious, having given all its powers to the body’s already existing abilities (like the Senate and the Court during the emergency situation in the USA have given all their powers to the executive). Since human potential is almost unlimited – a famous phrase, but everyone forgets to ad one simple thing, but the amount of work it takes to transform all that potentiality into actuality is monumental, paramount, huge, big, tremendous, life taking, we remain in a state of potential, in actuality not amounting to anything. We all wait for the state of emergency to become something or someone, using quarrels and such to stimulate us. Eventually we become sadists and tick people off just to get an adrenaline rush. And all because we are not aware that it takes work to create what we want.
So, back to learning process. Learning process is a process and not a moment deal. First, in order to learn, the person has to be AWARE. This means she has to know how to think – because the process of repetition and recording is necessary to learning (that implies recall at own will and understood process for improvement and capitalization on that knowledge), know what each action consists off, can tell herself what it is, observe the action for its components, understand the sequence, understand the consequence. Read the story “Scaling the fence with Craig and a helpful gent”. Each action performed in a body and by the body fully aware and able to remember it and understand its significance of a larger scale of its life, life in general and its needs becomes an action learnt. The learnt action increases one’s actual potential, making the person now have this action and/ or knowledge under their belt. In other words instead of gaping at a scaled fence in awe, for example, one looks and says: aha, I have done it in this and that manner and could repeat it. And if the body is kept in top condition, the thought and desire can be translated into an action and off she goes, over the fence.
Unconscious mind is what it is, unconscious. By definition (liberals will jump in and claim I am being oppressive to unconscious mind and discriminating against it because I am calling it “unconscious”) it is unable to retain the information on a conscious level. And since all conscious processes - I want cheese with my spaghettie, you say to yourself, as opposed feel that you want cheese and two minutes later are unable to recall why are you frustrated and pissy (never got yourself to a conscious level of thought to get up and get that cheese from the fridge) are at your disposal and become conscious processes through your awareness of something, your knowledge of something and your application of necessary actions for the achievement of that something, you cannot have a conscious process unconsciously. Those who oppose the usage of the word “unconscious” perhaps oppose the connotations imbued with it and gender association that goes with it, but if they oppose the meaning of the word, and want to use the opposite then they are speaking of something else and not of unconscious. The word they can call something else, only that will make that word something else and not nothing else or something more.
So, the exercise performed under adrenaline rush and distractedly and in short fits, is an illusion of strength given by the patriarchy to women. Constantly harassed (made produce adrenaline in large quantities) by men, read previous work and rely on your own experience, women are on the edge and perform, perform, perform. But when alone they are unable to do much and depend now on this harassment to do well. Their brains never became conscious of the processes. Never realized what is needed in the body or system. It is a quite different situation where one is climbing the fence (forgive the triteness but I am myself evolving here and don’t have too many examples but this one I definitely have and know and have broken down, so this essay is less for entertainment and more for knowledge and learning. Don’t compare me to those who have centuries of experience and even years of it) in a state of absence from one’s body: fear, pain, shame, all other strong feelings that make us forget to be in our body, as opposed to being fully conscious of one’s body, full feeling its lackings and weaknesses, feeling where the exercise was done too much or too little, being fully aware of the height and the danger of the fall.
The body experience is painful, physical pain is VERRRY painful, and if not train to get used to it by degrees, one will never be able to force oneself to exercise over lengthy periods of time, bear necessary privations and remember the experience learnt meanwhile. One must force oneself to be conscious and feel the pain otherwise it is no use.
The conclusion: exercise over time, consciously. Anything you do, never do another thing at the same time. DO NOT MULTI-TASK, this is the best preventive to learning there is. You will be sure to be productive like a mule, a bull or a horse.
