The semblance of politeness in public - aka the Asian style,with a smile hiding the dagger (why do I say that? This is what the official teaching policy is! Read some). Politeness, while underneath this "politeness" is promoted outright violence, cheating, policing, and citizen control the Soviet Union has never seen before. It is so prevalent, this mentality and practice, and it is largely practiced by all segments of the population, at all levels, that it is not even noticed anymore! Simply because these poor people are not educated they are unable to call a foul when they see one. They've been living in a foul since they were kids or they were trained to think and feel that the foul is a nrom. No, in fact THE norm. They struggle so hard to retain their imaginary "peace" on a very local small level, that in the process they destroy something much larger. The common consciousness is completely and utterly lacking, they are so individual that they are unable to suvive. They ae individual only in speech not in action, because to have an individua action one must maintain the framework that provides for it: Democracy. Democracy is maintained by open conversation, dialogue and an eye on the govenment and its officials. But instead the people are turned against one another and taught to make each other tip-toe, use extreme psychological warfare on every one on a local level, for miniscule item(s). Betrayal now is the norm - everybody does that, stabbing in the back too, spitting in the face is a matter of course! The people They are so much into each other's bussiness, with all that "individuality", it is scary. They are also by now used to cheap immigrant-slave labor, lavish supplies of Mexicans and Spanish, Bengali, Indian and abused and name called Russia people, who substitute for Black slave labor,they could not live without it. They have made their women into slaves as well, only those who completely and utterly sell their dignity and pride out are accepted. The selling is not seen as selling because together with "abolishing the Satan" they have abolished dignity, loyalty, common decency, humility, self-respect, true beauty, soul, mind, spirit. With the denial of facts and without an ability to separate the untrue from true (ability for doing that stems from an ability and desire to name things, to assign things to their proper places. When the fear of naming comes in, and the punishment for naming, that ability attropies), without a proper classification system, without a mind able to differentiate, people are literally, blinded. They don't see the principle any longer, no longer guided by the higer, but by the lower. Guided by fear and desire, impression and feeling, sensation and a hunch. The people have beoome and have been made into lower animals. All complexity has been devolved, flattened out, has evaporated. Only the low, the base, the crawling has survived. It seems that many attemp and imitate the movie "1984" by George Orwell and police each other and undermine the meaning of words. They don't talk about things but come to assume the meaning of something at a snap of fingers. When faced with the meaning of something, thy quickly allocate it to "semantics" or "words only" categories. These words constitute a 100 pages of THE PATRIOT ACT. These words make up the Constitution. These words make up the meaning of any passport, these words describing the manner of entry and the amount of time spent waiting, separate one from a legal status. These words are on working forms and on your checks. These words spelt out differently could mean a difference from your paycheck to something less. Fifteen hundred and five hundred sounds pretty much the same to me! And I am feeling lazy today, so let's make it a shorted day of work: five hundred dollars pay this month. Where did the rest of your money go? What are you talking about! These are words only, don't be so hung up, man. While the things that are being done to them are not that attrocious, they are pretty bad. So far, they have silently sold out their entire country to other countries represented by corporational interests and cuts. They trade their Democracy for entertainment, and slowly there is less and less of what to trade. The country is impovershing itself and its people so rapidly, the greed gaining so exponentially, I have never seen it like that before! This will be the shortest lived country in the world, if the things continue going at the rate they are going now. They have policed one another so bad they can't even buy a cup of coffee without spilling or forgetting to count the change...Everyone is a Big Brother. EVERYONE.
In a police state all normal functions dissolve.
In a police state people live in fear.
In a police state citizens patrol one another.
In a police state people fear to type.
In a police state people fear to speak.
In a police state people fear to interact.
In a police state a person behind a counter could humiliate you, commnad you and tell you wehat to do.
In a police state buying a cup of coffee becomes an experience.
In a police state walking down the street becomes a challenge.
In a police state riding on a subway becomes something you may not survive.
In a police state one never knows what hit her or him, when, where, how or why.
In a police state live people who sell themselves and each other out for a promise of something like a high-brow Hollywood film.
In a police state their darkness and Middle Ages and no Enlightment.
A police state is the United States of America.
A place that has turned its own citizens into fearful breeding cows and bulls and who slave their immigrants for 20 hours a day and pay them minimum and practice taxation without representation for what King George the Third was kicked the hell out of this country.
In a police state people never know if the Constituiton ever existed.
In a police state people jump when the fly passes by because their psyches have been stretched out so thin and made to believe they can at all times be arrested, send to prison without any rights or destroyed in a myriad of other ways.
In a police state people have watched too many movies and read too few books.
In a police state people are disempowered and attack one another.
In a police state there is no diversity of behavior but only fear.
Politics of fear.
Citizen patrol.
FBI.
CIA.
The police state interfers with the development of complexity.
It has become unconsciously prohibited to write, to speak, to interact with one another, not to kiss ass, not to grovel and not to lower one's human dignity. People's psyches have become harassed so much that they are afraid to move.
In a police state you can get a cheap labor for nothing because you have slaves. Taxation without representation, abuse of power, depriving of people of representation, slaving people at plantations in Florida and many Black people join in on this slavery of Spanish people and Mexican people. And the whores love cheap labor because cheap labor means they never have to face the real life and to come to realize how much of whores they really are.
Erick Maria Remark in his piece "Arc of Triumph" describes a life of an excellent doctor from Germany who escaped from Nazi regime and had to work at his trade illegally, getting paid crumbs while the other peson would get thousands. Yhat other person called the good doctor to operate on exteremely hard cases at night, in secret, while in the daytime the famous doctor would take credit for his work and appropriate the money that came with it.
