Unsafe New York: Part Twenty Four

"GET IN ALREADY": OR A SLAMMED DOOR ON MY SHOUDERS AND WRISTS
My adventurous day of November 2nd was coming to an end. Check for previous adventures on the "Democracy" blog. I was now boarding the "V" train to take it to 14th street. The train doors were opening when I got to the station. I walked over to the conductor and asked him if the train was going uptown. "Yes" he confirmed. He looked me up and down and dissaprovingly nodded his head. I then walked over to the door and as I entered, got the doors slammed on my lower arms. I pushed harder and the doors opened; they then got slammed on my shoulders. I stood there, hurt and bruised, and wondered when this would stop. "Common already. Get in!" yelled at me the MTA employee. Since when did the employee of the MTA, there to drive a train, got a right to slam the doors on my body, bruising it, and spealing to me with familiarity bespeaking a close acquintance? Why is it that when I walked into the train, no one looked? Why was it that women were looking down and looking sadly. Why was it that no one, BUT NO ONE asked me if I was ok, if I was hurt, expressed their displeasure and shock at this treatment? Why did I have to wake up this morning with bruised on my wrists and shoulders?
Instead of an abusive boyfriend I know have a CONDUCTOR to abuse me?!
